Our Mission
Sonim Technologies engineers phones for people who need communications
tools that really work. We believe the mobile phone marketplace has
forgotten the needs of those users who rely on their phones to
communicate, and who don't want their mobile phone to be a tiny
fragile fashion statement loaded down with a camera, MP3 player
and other amusing features such as celebrity ring tones and games.
We cater instead to the many people who need phones that will perform
brilliantly under harsh conditions, phones that do exactly what phones
are meant to do – enable communications.
We focus on engineering ruggedized GSM handsets with all the
capabilities that hard-working people need to get their jobs
done. Our phones are also especially well-suited to the needs
of people who spend a lot of time outdoors – hiking, boating,
skiing, and other sports.
Sonim Technolgies' ruggedized phones stand up to extreme conditions
indoors and out. They were designed with the needs of our users in
mind – they asked for oversized push-to-talk buttons, bright scratch
resistant screens, and extremely audible audio and we delivered.
Our executive team has a deep knowledge of wireless technology, from
development to deployment. We've built the world's only ruggedized
GSM, certified tough handset but we'll continue to explore new ways
to make our phones invincible and even more useful to people who
count on us to provide a ruggedized phone that they can depend on.
We also develop software solutions that complement our phones, for
more information please see (www.SonimTech.com).
Sonim Technologies is a privately-held San Mateo-based company with
offices in London and Bangalore.
