The Sonim XP1 handset combines ruggedness with a bright and easy-to-read screen, large buttons, a powerful loudspeaker, and a long-lasting battery. In addition, it complies with the OMA PoC 1.0 standard for Push to Talk, and it is also IP-52 classified, meaning that it is very dust and moisture resistant.

“The Sonim XP1 is designed with the demanding user in mind, and will fulfill the requirements of a large number of Russian users”, says Johan Bergstrom, Sr Director at Sonim Technologies. “As it will work also in very low temperatures, it will therefore be the best choice in several Russian regions. The Sonim XP1 is also the only IP-52 classified water/dust resistant GSM handset commercially available in Russia.”

The Sonim ToughPhoneTM XP1 handset is now fully localized and will shortly become available to retailers and operators all over Russia. The XP1 is designed for the needs of mobile workers in transportation, logistics, security, construction sites, oil fields and other locations with harsh environments and the need for seamless communications.
