Sonim Xperience™ downloadable PoC Client Available Now For Nokia 6680

Sonim Technologies, a leading developer of high-performance VoIP applications for mobile networks, today launched the Sonim Xperience™ PoC Client (XPC) on the S60 Platform. Developed by Nokia, S60 is the world's leading smartphone platform, with more than 28 million devices already in the market.

Enabling VoIP based Push-to-Talk on wireless handsets and other devices, Sonim Xperience PoC Client is now available from Sonim for S60 smartphones. The S60 smartphone architecture provides users with all the basic and advanced cellular phone functions in a compact device characterized by a large color screen, rich communications and enhanced applications.

XPC is well integrated with S60 applications, sharing a common look and feel. The user can easily jump between PoC and other applications. Sonim also provides the functionality to customize a WAP enabled download service for operators. This will allow users to download the client directly to their S60 phone, including the configuration file.

Through its award-winning user interface, extensive support for new mobile services and the innovation potential for partner solutions, the S60 provides an open and scalable business opportunity for mobile operators and 3rd party developers.
